ABS is excited to announce the launch of BlueStreakITTM, an online IT support company offering PC trouble-shooting, setup, and security services to the SOHO market. Through this new model, PC users contact BlueStreakIT on-line and select the appropriate service for a fixed price, such as spyware removal or BlackBerry setup. Once customers pay with a credit card, our agents and technicians begin work on solving the problem. With permission, BlueStreakIT agents take over the computer remotely while clients sit back and watch. No one is giving them complex instructions to follow. BlueStreakIT does it all for them.
"I am proud of the service-oriented culture we have built at ABS over the last 26 years. BlueStreakIT is our way of extending that same world-class support to consumers," said CEO Rosemarie Mitchell. "With certified technicians and remote technologies, we are able to provide professional computer support to small and home businesses for their PCs, PDAs, and other devices."
BlueStreakIT users can expect fast, reliable, and secure support for issues ranging from wireless network setup to virus removal to PC optimization. For more information about BlueStreakIT and the services offered, visit www.bluestreakit.com.

Have you identified the potential loss if your company experienced a disaster? How would a fire, for example, impact your business and its ability to serve customers? What if there were an extended disruption in communications? How would you contact your clients? How would your corporate standing be affected? Do you have a business continuity plan? If so, is it up-to-date? If not, why not act now?
For years ABS has provided disaster recovery services, helping its clients prepare for the recovery and continued operation of their IT infrastructure after an unexpected event occurs. But such services are just one component of planning for emergency situations. ABS has added industry certified business continuity professionals to its consulting team and has formed a new alliance with data backup and online recovery firm UbiStor. ABS is now positioned to take a more holistic approach to disaster recovery and fully assist clients with strategic and critical business continuity planning. Companies that plan ahead are indeed better equipped to stay in business if disaster strikes. For more information about ABS's business continuity planning services, please call 1-800-840-9208 or email us to speak with an ABS representative.

Myth #7: Outsourcing is not needed if the internal IT department currently receives no complaints from end-users.
Truth: A lack of user complaints does not necessarily mean all systems are running perfectly. Whenusers are frustrated and do not know how to find help, they seek other means of support such as questioning colleagues, browsing the Web, or trial and error. Unfortunately, these efforts can increase downtime and decrease productivity for everyone concerned.

Last month ABS supported the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra (CYSO) as a corporate sponsor of the annual gala celebration "The Noteworthy Night." On February 7, guests gathered at the Westin
Chicago River North for an evening of live and silent auctions, food and, of course, music performed by the world-renowned CYSO. All proceeds from the event benefited the CYSO's music training and education programs, helping to provide scholarships, rental fees, and coaches for young performing artists, all of whom are high school seniors or younger. Pictured here are Tom and Rosemarie Mitchell at "The Noteworthy Night." |
