Rolling Meadows, IL - ABS Associates, Inc., a provider of helpdesk, desktop and network solutions, announced today that Mr. Jay Schiele has been elected the Company's President and Chief Operating Officer, and Mr. Robert Koch has been elected its Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Schiele is a seasoned executive with twenty years of national and international experience in sales, business development, and IT services and outsourcing. Since joining ABS in June 2000 as Chief Operating Officer, he has been leading the day-to-day operations of the Company. Previously, Schiele served as Program Executive with Inacom in their Life Cycle Management division where he directed business functions for Fortune 500 outsourcing accounts. He was responsible for branch development and management for Entex and CompuCom, and his overseas experience included sales management for Harris-Lanier GmbH in Germany and contracting for the Department of Defense in Europe. Schiele holds a B.A. degree in Economics from Ripon College with a year abroad at the Friedrich Wilhem's Universitaet in Bonn, Germany. Mr. Koch has accumulated 17 years of financial management experience in the international banking and services industries and since March 2000 has provided ABS with its financial leadership. Prior to joining ABS, Koch served as Vice President, Accounting, Systems & Administration, for the Industrial Bank of Japan; and as Manager of International Accounting & Reporting for Baker & McKenzie. Koch holds a B.S. degree from DePaul University and is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Illinois CPA Society. "Each one of these men brings a strong background to his new position.
