Rolling Meadows, IL — ABS Associates, Inc., a provider of outsourced helpdesk, desktop, managed hosting, and network support and services, today announced the promotions of two key team members, as well as the return of a former manager. Hector Gonzalez has been promoted to Senior Team Lead, and Stefano Laterza has been named Quality Assurance and Training Specialist for ABShelp™, the company's Web-enabled knowledge center. Additionally, Sharanjit Bhatthal recently returned to ABS as Senior Manager for the Consulting and Networking Services division.

Both gentlemen have demonstrated a steadfast commitment to our clients and a wealth of IT expertise," said ABS Chief Executive Officer Rosemarie Mitchell. "We also are excited about the return of Sharanjit. He is a valuable addition to our Consulting and Networking division."

With more than 20 years of management experience, Hector Gonzalez has been an integral component to ABS's Desktop Life-cycle Solutions division for six years. In addition to managing large accounts, including Red Bull, Gonzalez heads up the desktop staffing resources at various client sites. Previously a Senior Solutions Delivery Manager for the company and team lead for the Motorola account, Gonzalez also serves as an advisor and mentor to other ABS team leads. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Western Illinois University, as well as multiple hardware and software certifications.

In his new role as Quality Assurance and Training Specialist for ABShelp™ agents, Stefano Laterza manages the training program for new hires. He is charged with ensuring all new support professionals understand the ABShelp™ system, each client's unique requirements and service level metrics, and ABS' customer service policies. Additionally, Laterza oversees ABS' auditing process for data quality and agent performance. Laterza has more than 10 years of experience in IT services and support and has been a member of ABS's helpdesk team since 2001.

After a brief hiatus from ABS Associates, Sharanjit Bhatthal returned to the company in January of 2006 as Senior Manager, Consulting and Networking Services. His current responsibilities for the Consulting & Networking Services division include performing service delivery; creating sales material, proposals, and webinars; and training and educating new engineers. Prior to his current position, Bhatthal was ABS' Senior Network Engineer and Project Manager from 2004 to 2005. Previously, he held similar positions with NetVizion Networks, Inc. and ASAP Components, LLC. Bhatthal's in-depth technical knowledge along with his proficient management skills is the reason that ABS sought his return.
