Rolling Meadows, IL — ABS Associates, Inc., a provider of outsourced helpdesk, desktop, managed hosting, and network support and services, today announced the addition of Sandra Hackett to its helpdesk practice. Hackett is taking over as the company's new Senior Manager for Helpdesk Services.
"Sandy brings outstanding leadership skills and exceptional helpdesk management experience to ABS. She has been involved in the IT industry since 1986 and most recently handled the Chicago Tribune's Service Desk providing 24x7 support to 26,000 employees nationwide. We are delighted that she will be at the helm of our helpdesk," said ABS Chief Executive Officer Rosemarie Mitchell.
Sandra Hackett joins ABS from The Tribune Company, where she spent 10 years in IT management, consulting and training. During her tenure as The Tribune Company's Technology Service Desk Manager, Hackett successfully integrated the Corporate and Chicago Tribune helpdesks; significantly improved the performance, quality and skill-levels of the helpdesk; launched the organization's Corporate Learning Center; and participated in IT strategic planning including setting department goals and maintaining budget. Hackett holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Indiana University and a Bachelor of Arts from Governor's State University with an emphasis in math/science and computer technology. She also holds ITIL Certification as well as others from IT best practices organizations, such as Pink Elephant and the Help Desk Institute.
