Rolling Meadows, IL — ABS Associates, Inc., a provider of outsourced helpdesk, desktop, managed hosting, and network support and services, today announced the addition of Stefan Schurman to its team. As ABS’ new Director of Business Development, Schurman will act as the firm’s leading sales executive, working closely with many of the company’s top clients and prospects.

”Stefan brings to ABS a diverse sales and product management background that includes driving account and go-to-market strategies,” said ABS Chief Executive Officer Rosemarie Mitchell. “With his in-depth technical knowledge and significant field sales experience, Stefan will excel as the leader of our business development team.”

Stefan Schurman comes to ABS with nearly 10 years of sales strategy, product development, and training experience, all focused in the IT arena. Earlier in his career, Schurman was a product manager at IBM Corporation, focusing on the Rational Software Configuration Management product line as well as the Rational Systems Development solution. In this role, he worked with development teams to create technical strategies and product roadmaps to meet customer requirements and market trends. He also played a key role in product launches and go-to-market strategies. Prior to his product management role at IBM, he also worked as a Software Engineering Specialist within the Rational software brand, working with customers to help improve their software development capabilities. More recently, Schurman has led account strategy and sales initiatives at Opsware, Inc., a leading provider of data center automation solutions. He holds a Bachelor of Computer Science degree from Carleton University, having graduated with High Honors.
