ABS CEO to Board of Trustees

Rolling Meadows, IL – ABS Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Rosemarie Mitchell has been elected to the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) Board of Trustees. Founded in 1890, IIT is a Ph.D.-granting university with more than 7,300 students in engineering, sciences, architecture, psychology, design, humanities, business and law. Ms. Mitchell stated that she was honored to be selected for this position.
“For many years I have been involved with the Board of Overseers for IIT’s Stuart School of Business. During the past year, I accepted the Chair position and am responsible for oversight of the rapid growth and transformation of the business school,” said Mitchell.
As ABS’s CEO, Mitchell draws upon more than 20 years of diversified experience in business ownership and management. Working with the leadership team, she sets the strategic vision of the firm and offers insight to product and service development and quality initiatives. ABS Associates is a provider of outsourced help desk, desktop, and network support services to organizations, including Children’s Memorial Hospital, Master Lock, National Safety Council, and Blue Cross Blue Shield Association. Prior to co-founding ABS in 1982 and more recently BlueStreakIT, Mitchell served as President of Creative Communications, a public relations firm. Mitchell’s other business activities include serving on the Harris Bank Barrington Board of Directors, and she is the former President of the Board of Directors for the Barrington Area Council on Aging. Mitchell also serves on The University of Chicago Visiting Committee to the Division of the Biological Sciences and the Pritzker School of Medicine.
